Sexy Siren Lisa Ray
Lisa Rani Ray is one of Bollywood’s export quality sirens. India first saw her walking the deserts, to the beats of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s ‘Afreen’ (1996). Known for her miserly choice of films, this supermodel made her screen debut with the flop Tamil flick, ‘Nethaji’, in 1994. 15 years after her debut, Lisa has only 11 movies in her bag, but the impact has been considerable.
Lisa Ray was born on April 4, 1972, in Toronto, Canada, to a Bengali father and a Polish mother; she grew up in the suburbs of Etobicoke, Toronto.
Ray began modelling when she was 16. Her first popular ad was for Bombay Dyeing, opposite Karan Kapoor. Lisa then appeared on the cover of ‘Gladrags’, wearing a red Baywatch-style swimsuit. More magazine covers came her way!
Her movie debut in 1994 was opposite Tamil actor Sarath Kumar in the film ‘Nethaji’; she appeared in item song.
In ‘Kill Kill Faster Faster’ Lisa appeared nude on screen—a feat no mainstream actress of Indian origin had done before
